The Board of Deacons needs your help. On Saturday, September 17th, we need workers to help construct a wheelchair ramp for one of our members. will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, March 6 from 2-4 p.m. at Messiah. Emmy Award winning Messiah Music Director David Gooding will be guest speaker. His presentation, “A Singing Church in Time of Transition” will precede a brief business meeting, presentation of the 11th annual Edgar M. Luecke Award for Outstanding Ministry to Elderly People, and the 14th annual Student Essay Award ceremony (featuring three winners from Messiah School.) Through the cold winter we will continue to collect donations of winter socks, coats, undergarments, hand warmers and even radios (please include batteries) for distribution to homeless people. Messiah member Matt Metevelis, presently on staff at St. Ignatius High School, is working with students on the St. Benedict Joseph Labre Homeless Ministries. Please drop off your donations in the boxes in the Atrium.
